2. Description of Service

StatementMap is an AI-powered tool that converts PDF documents into editable data formats (Excel, CSV, QBO).

Disclaimer of Accuracy: While we strive for 99.8% accuracy, AI is probabilistic. You acknowledge that StatementMap may occasionally produce errors, hallucinations, or formatting issues. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of the extracted data before importing it into accounting software or filing taxes. StatementMap is not a substitute for a professional accountant.

Local Data Storage (Drafts): The Service includes a "Save Draft" feature that stores data locally in your browser's Local Storage. This data is not backed up to our servers. You are responsible for maintaining this data; clearing your browser cache will permanently delete it.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

• Merchant of Record: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. All billing and tax disputes are handled via Lemon Squeezy.
• Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account dashboard or the Lemon Squeezy portal. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
• Refund Policy: We offer a Conditional Accuracy Guarantee. If our tool fails to accurately process a readable bank statement and we cannot fix the issue within 24 hours of you reporting it, you are entitled to a full refund of your last month's payment.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree NOT to:

• Upload illegal documents or documents you do not have the right to process.
• Reverse engineer the Service.
• Share your account credentials with third parties (unless on an Agency plan).
• Abuse the service to scrape data or attack our infrastructure.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StatementMap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service.
• Any errors or inaccuracies in the extracted data.
• Loss of "Draft" data stored in your local browser due to device failure or cache clearing.
• Unauthorized access to or use of our servers.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

6. Data Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the processing of your data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Ethiopia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
